Intestine Disquiets

My body is heavy with this distance

I am weighted in my footfalls,

Touching slabs, stepping stones

In my mind I touch your face.

I ache to flutter fingers over skin

To match with body the fluttering felt within.

This corporeal existence irks and irritates

Rooted in this realm I reach outwards

Ethereally.

Plants turn their flowers to the sun.

Let me ape and imitate

Feel the heart heat warm my face.

My body betrays me.
