The world spins on the tip of your tongue

Forbidden fruit ripens

Tumbles from lips

Blossoms spilling unbidden

On touch, blooming, unrotten

I gather with greed

I have been malnourished

Feed me with wonderment fallen

Consumption only strengthens desire

Budding into the unknown

The darkness, blinking

My ears and my hands and my limbs

Head overwhelmed heart overloaded

Unable to hold or contain

Curtain drawn back over blinkers, blindness

Speak to me

Shape worlds from glimpses and turns of a phrase

Sculpt and form scripture on my face

Exposed open, awaiting

I taste
