Touch

Your hand touched me like a watermark
I was stained clean
Hard surface brushed away
So casually cool
Burned and bruised and nothing to show
Casual gesture
Lingering.
Gentle fingers act as dreamcatchers
Catch me before I fall to pieces
My face is paint flecked
Covered with colourful discolourations
Made murky with smears
Wrong starts
I am set in plaster, caked
Wash me clean
Smooth my creases
Catch my cheek and carve
Your fingerprints
In gradual caresses
