pause

 you stripped me more
 naked
 than i'd ever been
 there was a day
 by the sea
 body weights
 and breeze
 a still pool of
     water
 separated
 from the great
 expanse of
     waves
 by a tumble of
     rocks
 the warmth of
     sunshine
 behind clouds
 i could have died right
 there
 on the shore
     the waves
     my hand
     your neck
